Sejong Korean Language School is started by Teacher Kwak Seong Hoon, a native Korean who has lived in Singapore for many years. He believes that an effective language school does not simply hinge on having a “native korean”, or “highly qualified” teacher. What he noticed after years of teaching experience is that while this “native” factor might be the selling point of many foreign language schools, it defeats the purpose if native teachers are unable to connect with, and teach Singaporeans effectively. He believes that what is most important is the teacher’s ability to connect and teach locals in a way they understand, the Singaporean way.
Sejong Korean Language School promises to always deliver on what is most important, your mastery of Korean language. We will hire native teachers if and only if they are able to speak good english, and are able to deliver in the classroom. We are also open to hiring non-natives who have shown that they have truly mastered Korean language (and very importantly, are familiar with korean culture) as they will be the most effective teachers for educating you.
