St. Andrew’s Autism School (SAAS) offers a comprehensive developmental curriculum in accord with evidence-based practices for students with autism. Working closely with our therapists, psychologists, and social workers, we address our students’ sensory and regulatory needs, and guide, train and support family members and caregivers, in an effort to foster a conducive learning environment.
Adopting a person-centred approach to designing meaningful Individualised Education or Transition Plans (IEP/ITP) for each student enables us to provide effective interventions and instructional programmes referenced to a customised curriculum, where each student’s potential can be maximsed.
A core aspect of SAAS is our Personal Futures Planning. In line with Singapore’s SPED Framework vision, “Active in Community, Valued in Society”, from age 13 all SAAS students undergo a structured transition programme in preparation for their best post-18 outcomes.
