Catering to the needs of Nursery to Grade 6 learners, CIS’ Tanjong Katong (TK) Campus is located in Singapore’s East Coast. TK features a mix of intimate indoor learning spaces and generous, leafy outdoor activity and sporting areas. Grade levels are clustered together to allow easy collaboration and sharing between grade levels. This design supports our inquiry-based approach and encourages a strong sense of community between and across grade levels.
This combination provides our students with a warm and inviting learning environment where they can develop new skills while being challenged to try new things, as they learn about their community and the wider world.
Access to the outdoors is something our TK community value, and our outdoor learning spaces take full advantage of the natural environment. Classrooms at TK are warm, colourful, and spacious. Our youngest learners’ classrooms spill directly out into our newly built Outdoor Discovery Centre, merging the indoors and the outdoors in a meaningful and unique way.
Other learning spaces at TK include a library, an amphitheatre, a playing field, cricket nets, basketball and futsal courts, a STEAM makerspace and an outdoor classroom. Every area on campus is designed to support curiosity, collaboration, invention and making connections – to both people and learning. Our students develop joined-up thinking as they work together, and discover that innovation and collaboration is the key to success in today’s modern world.
The TK lease has been extended to the end of 2020.
