The Adventist Child Development Centre (Jurong) began in January 1987 with 120 excited children ready to start the first day of school. We were delighted with the overwhelming enrolment and started 6 instead of the originally planned 4 classes.
In November 1987, Mrs Lan Teo, the founder and principal, had to pursue her overseas studies. Determined to ensure continual strong, passionate and committed leadership, she enlisted Mrs Lina Wee in September 1987. By the end of the first year, we praise the Lord for the expanded enrolment with 10 classes of 220 children!
In 1991, we changed our kindergarten’s name to Seventh-day Adventist Kindergarten (SDAK) when we registered with the Ministry of Education. With God’s blessings, SDAK continued to flourish and today, we have more than 2700 students who have graduated from our doors.
