TUM Asia is the Singapore campus of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany’s #1 University (Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016, QS World Rankings 2015). TUM is one of the most renowned technical universities in Europe, boasting a wealth of experience in encouraging young minds to use Science, Engineering and Technology for the betterment of society through innovative means.

Following the same vision, TUM Asia was set up in 2002 in Singapore to bring German academic excellence to Asia. Though situated in an Asian country, the academic model employed by TUM Asia is nevertheless German in its roots, with an emphasis on industry readiness and innovation. Since 2002, TUM Asia has been running joint Master Programmes conferred by TUM, with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) while partnering Singapore’s newest autonomous university, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) for its Bachelor degree programmes.. The students have access to a diverse range of professors who are among the best in their field of expertise, as well as possessing a wealth of industry experience.

All our degrees are solely awarded by TUM and are campus-blind. Graduates get the same TUM degree as their counterparts in Germany, whereas joint degree holders get a degree from TUM and the partner university. Thus our graduates have a world-renowned education which qualifies them to work in the best companies the industries have to offer.
