Founded in 2005, Opus 3 has been providing music education and workshops for students as young as 2 years old to adults. Opus 3 believes that “Every Individual is Different and Special in His Own Way”, thus we provide a fun and friendly yet effective environment that encourages active learning through methods that stimulate the child. Through our music & art courses, we hope to nurture our students to be able to appreciate and enjoy the arts.
Opus 3 is a recognized appointed Exam centre for ABRSM exams and LCM exams
Courses
Our music courses are conducted either individually or in groups. Students may opt to sit for Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM), London College of Music (LCM), Trinity College of Music (TCL) or Rockschool examinations or to just learn for leisure and relaxation.
Besides their regular weekly lessons, our students will also have the opportunity to participate in our quarterly Ensemble & Musicianship Programme (EMP) whereby our students are exposed to solo / ensemble performance experiences, Music General Knowledge, Aural Skills, Improvisation & Techniques, Rhythmic Awareness, Musical Games and many more to enhance their competence in artistry.
Annual concerts are organised and performed by the students, giving parents a chance to hear the results of their little ones’ hard work, and also giving the students a platform to practice their performance, an aspect of learning a musical instrument that is often overlooked. The more often a player performs, the more natural he becomes, thus making him more confidence in later life.
