Ascension Kindergarten has opened its doors to young children from as early as 1960, operating out of the Saint Andrew’s Boarding House, under the name of Saint Andrew’s Kindergarten. In 1962, the Kindergarten moved into Church of the Ascension Building and it was renamed Ascension Kindergarten, under the supervision of Mrs L. Albrecht as the principal. The Kindergarten received an enrolment of 70 students aged five to six who were guided by four teachers.

Today, the Kindergarten has an enrolment of over 600 students and a staff strength of 46. The vision of the school has remained steadfast over the years: that is to place children and their needs first, and to lay the foundation in their early years so as to prepare them for the future.
