Blue House Nursery & International Preschool welcomes children from 6 months to 6 years old through a Reggio Emilia inspired programme.
The Blue House experience starts with children from 6-36 months in our Infant & Toddler Atelier’s through our parent-accompanied programme. Parents are invited to a series of Playgroups, Classes or Drop In Sessions where they are guided by our early childhood trained facilitators through a range of interactive and sensory-driven experiences. Children are surrounded by light, colour, music, and open-ended resources and materials that invite children to test their theories, explore and research in their critical early years.
The Nursery, Preschool and Kindergarten starts from 18 months to 6 years of age with a choice of 2, 3 or 5 days per week and a range of specialist programmes in Music, Art and Mandarin, as well as a Resident Artists Programme.
At Blue House children are seen as powerful, capable and the most valuable subject for educators to learn about. The uniqueness of each child is greatly valued. Individual interests are welcomed and encouraged in a community of learning that appreciates the sharing of knowledge, experiences and theories.
Parents are active partners in the learning process, having knowledge and competencies to be shared as part of the schooling community.
Educators are observers and protagonists, learning alongside children, researching in partnership, shining a light on what the children are doing.
Classrooms and environments are constructed purposefully, as a rich context to invite research, recognised as a child’s third teacher.
