The idea of setting up a childcare centre evolved from Branch Director Ms Yong’s interest in early childhood before the birth of her daughter. Her interest in this field had since continued to grow as she found great satisfaction in nurturing, taking care of, educating, and playing with her baby.
Conveniently located at Bedok Central, we strive to serve the community by providing high-quality childcare services to parents with young children residing in the east region of Singapore. Offering a safe and conducive environment for preschoolers aged 18 months to 6 years old, we pride ourselves on equipping children with critical 21st century skills that essentially help them adapt to a rapidly changing globalised world where demographics and technological advancements drive the future. The five key components in the SPIRAL Literacies Model™ enable today’s children to problem-solve, create, analyse, collaborate, communicate, and account responsibly.
Besides our core curriculum, the Centre also emphasises on creativity and instilling the love for reading in young children. By introducing a variety of approaches to help cultivate children’s reading habits, we believe it will contribute to their academic success at a later stage.
Our trained and dedicated team of educators ensure the provision of a safe and loving environment for our children. We take pride in ensuring that our staff are professionally trained in the respective fields and conduct both internal and external training sessions to equip themselves with current changes. We are passionate and dedicated in bringing out the best in our children. Taking pride in our children, works by them and pictures of their exciting learning journeys are displayed in the respective classrooms.
Ms Yong has a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Monash University, which enables her to implement proven and effective strategies for the Cherians to cultivate the love for learning. She also regularly provides professional development training for her team of educators to help them remain relevant in the EC industry.
Our Centre believes in parent partnership to ensure smoother transition between home and school. Such involvement would assist our children in developing a sense of security and belonging to the Centre.
Nutritious set meals are provided to ensure that each child consumes sufficient nutrition during his/her growing years. Cherie Hearts @ Bedok Central has also fulfilled the Health Promotion Board’s food service guidelines and is accredited with the Healthy Meals in Pre-schools Programme.
