Learning Vision @ NCS (POP Centre) commenced operations in November 2001 to provide quality early childhood education to children of parents who either worked or lived in Ang Mo Kio. The learning environment in this centre is soothing, hygienic, bright, vibrant, colourful and cheery. Coupled with the dedication of the teachers and their warm tender loving care, the children can grow and flourish.
Children in this centre enjoy many integrated hands-on learning experiences which help develop cognitive skills, stimulate natural curiosity and enhance language, mathematical and scientific ability. The Speech and Drama, Music and Movement and Art lessons also provide opportunities and platforms for the children to explore and appreciate the visual and performing arts.
Unique to this new centre is the Kinderpreneurship programme for the K1 and K2 children. The Kinderpreneurship programme aims to foster self-sufficiency, improve communication skills, increase self-esteem and leadership ability, and inculcate a desire for learning. The basic concepts of building a business are introduced to our young entrepreneurs. Children are encouraged to identify their hobbies or interests through which business ideas are developed.
This centre is a recipient of the SPARK award conferred by the Ministry of Education.
