The objectives of the MOE Kindergartens are to:
1) provide quality pre-school education that is affordable to Singaporeans,
2) pilot teaching and learning resources and
3) establish good practices for sharing with the pre-school sector.
The MOE Kindergartens seek to nurture children holistically, so that they are confident, have strong social skills and a good foundation in literacy and numeracy.
The MOE Kindergarten programme is a half-day (four hours) programme. For parents who require a full-day programme, Kindergarten Care services are available at 15 of the 18 MOE Kindergartens.
Our MOE Kindergarten Learning Environment
The MOE Kindergarten learning environment is designed with the child in mind. The classroom provides space for children to interact with one another and allows them to transit seamlessly from one activity to the next. Learning resources are placed within easy reach of the children to encourage exploration and discovery. Besides creating inviting indoor spaces to support teaching and learning, we have also designed outdoor spaces to excite and engage children.
